This residential project sought to maximizing storage spaces and exploring different possibilities of furniture.

Project Type: Private Residential Design/Build
Status: Concept Design with estimated completion May 2017
Location: Tuen Mun, Hong Kong
Design Team: Norman Ung, Hazel Yuen Fun, Ryan Lam
Project Area: 600 sq.ft. | 55 sq.m.

Recessed wall nook
In order to create a nice visual effect for the living room, we carved out nooks in the wall that will create an open space for displaying objects in the living room, for instance, the TV. Another example is the storage bench that fits seamlessly in the other nook that will simultaneously act as dining seats.

Feature storage Wall
Instead of fitting in multiple cabinetry into the flat, DEFT has proposed a feature storage wall which has the thickness of a wardrobe. This will allow full utilization of the apartment, including overhead storage and floor cabinetry.
